Natural Resources
* SDA is divided into two: natural resources, renewable and non-renewable natural resources.1. Renewable natural resources include water, soil, plants and animals. SDA should we keep the continuity so as not to damage the ecosystem balance
.
2. Non-renewable natural resources such as minerals that are in the bowels of the earth such as petroleum, coal, tin and nickel. We must use these resources as efficiently as possible. Because, like coal, will be formed again after millions of years later.
* SDA can also be divided into two: natural resources and biological non-biological resources.
1. SDA SDA biodiversity is derived from living things (biotic) such as agriculture, plantations, aquaculture, and fisheries. Biological resources is one source of power can be restored or renewable (renewable resources) which consists of flora and fauna. Biological resources can be interpreted literally as the resources that have a life and to experience death. The types of biological resources include trees, fish, seaweed, plankton, zooplankton, phytoplankton, tigers, ants, worms, sea grasses, coral reefs, seagrass, and so forth.
2. SDA is a non-living natural resources derived from non-living things (abiotic). Such as: water, land, mining goods.
Benefits of plant growth include:
* To produce oxygen for humans and animals
* Reduce pollution because it can absorb the carbon dioxide that plants use for photosynthesis process
* Prevent erosion, landslides and floods
* Industrial materials, industrial materials such as oil palm cooking oil
* Raw foods such as rice into rice
* Materials drinks, such as tea and ginger
Distribution of natural resources is not always abundant. there are some natural resources are limited in number. sometimes in the process of its formation requires a relatively long period of time and can not wait the three or four generations of human ancestry.
Natural resources are things that are available in nature and utilized for human needs. Natural resources are divided into two types: natural resources and renewable natural resources that can not be diperbarui.dan namely natural smber
[Edit] Natural resources that can be updated
Is a natural resource that can be grown back presence and can be used continuously, for example: water, air, soil, animals and plants.
[Edit] Water
Water is a major requirement of all living things. For humans than for drinking, bathing and washing, water is also helpful:
1. as a means of transportation
2. as a means of tourism / recreation
3. as a means of irrigation / watering
4. as hydropower (Hydroelectric Power Plant)
Basin on the mainland is flooded by a naturally occurring called lakes, such as Lake Toba in North Sumatra. While the basin on land flooded due to man-made reservoir called, for example, Sermo reservoir in Kulon Progo and Reservoir Elephant Mungkur Wonogiri (Central Java).
Air
The air moves and the move is called wind. The layer of air called the atmosphere surrounds the earth. Ozone layer serves to protect the earth from ultraviolet rays emitted by the sun. The wind can be used also as a source of energy by using windmill power plant.
[Edit] Land
Soil is the top layer of crust that formed from the weathering of rocks and organic materials are destroyed by natural process. Groundwater is used for growing agricultural natural resources. Agriculture includes crops for staple foods, like rice, corn and sago. Secondary crops of potatoes and beans, and horticulture which includes various kinds of vegetables and fruits.
[Edit] Animals
Animals in Indonesia can be classified into two types of wild animals and pets. Wild animals are animals that live in the wild and can find food themselves, for example from species of birds, fish and insects. Pets are animals that are kept to a hobby or pleasure alone, for example turtledove birds, guinea pigs, cats and parrots. Farm animals are animals bred for later use or sold for profit.
[Edit] Plants
* Forest
Forest is a vast area is overgrown with various trees. Judging from the types of trees, forests can be divided into two, namely:
1. Homogeneous forest is a forest-covered by a single species of trees / plants, eg teak forest, pine forest, pine forest, etc..
2. Heterogeneous forests are forest-covered by various types of trees / plants.
Judging from their area, the forest can be divided into five, as follows:
1. Protected forests are forests which serve to protect the soil from erosion, flooding and landslides.
2. Production forest is forest that serves to generate a variety of industrial products and equipment of the community, such as plywood, furniture, building materials and handicrafts.
3. Forest tourism is the forest that are specific to attract domestic tourists (domestic) and foreign tourists.
4. Forest nature reserve is a working forest preserve and protect the flora (plants) and fauna (animals).
5. Mangrove forest is the mangrove forest by the beach that serves to prevent the mainland from abrasion.
Forest products that can be used by us are: wood (teak, pine, cypress, sandalwood), resin, rattan, bamboo, etc.. Pengkisan soil erosion is caused by rain water. Reforestation is the planting / re-forestation that has been deforested. Abrasion is the narrowing of the land due to soil erosion caused by sea water. Korasi is land erosion caused by wind.
* Agriculture
Agriculture in Indonesia produce various kinds of plants, including rice, corn, soybeans, vegetables, chili, onions and various fruits, like oranges, apples, mango, and durian. Indonesia is known as an agricultural country because most people in Indonesia have a livelihood in agriculture or farming.
* Plantation
Type of existing plantations in Indonesia include rubber, cocoa, tea, tobacco, quinine, oil palm, cotton, cloves and sugar cane. Various types of in between plants is ekspor tanaman (activity send goods to overseas) that produce income (savings for the state).
[Edit] Natural resources that can not be updated
Is the natural resources which if used constantly will run out. Usually the natural resources that can not be updated derived from mineral (petroleum and coal) and minerals (gold, silver, tin, iron, nickel and others).
* Coal
Coal comes from ancient plants that have died millions of years ago. Coal is widely used as fuel for industry and households.
* Crude Oil
Petroleum is derived from animals (plankton) and micro-micro-organism that has died millions of years.
* Gold and Silver
* Iron and Tin
Iron derived from materials mixed with soil, sand and so forth. Iron is a material deposition and metal is white. Tin ore comes from the tin-ore are stored in the earth.
Crude Oil
* Avtur to fuel aircraft;
* Gasoline for motor vehicle fuel;
* Kerosene oil lamps for raw materials;
* Diesel fuel for diesel vehicles;
* LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) to fuel a gas stove;
* Oil is material to the engine lubricant;
* Vaseline is an ointment for medicinal ingredients;
* Paraffin wax to fabric; and
* Asphalt for road construction materials (produced on the island of Buton)
